I love the staff and the hot tub swimming the life guards are friendly the new life guard will listen and take direction and handled the problem right away that I was having !

The gym could be so much more than it currently is. The staff is friendly but they don’t leave the front desk for anything. It’s common to see people on thier phones or doing something else besides cleaning the front steps from snow or putting down salt, vacuuming the entry rugs etc. I would agree with others remarks about the mens locker room floors being disgusting and the showers being the same. No one from the Y walks through the locker room or weight room to see if people are treating the building with the respect it deserves and it shows. Look at the steps going up to the weight room and they look like they haven’t been vacuumed or mopped in days. Planet Fitness pay their employees peanuts and it’s spotless because they have direction from their managers to dust, mop, steam clean, etc. Rates have gone up twice in 1.5 years and what did we get for it, nothing. I believe this is a management issue and I’m on the verge of leaving.

Place needs a very deep cleaning especially the floors in the mens bathrooms and showers I don't think they are cleaned well on a daily basis. The weight room is usually giant mess, nobody re-racks their weights a majority of the time let alone wipe down the equipment when they are finished. It's not uncommon to walk in and see all at least 50% of the machines with weight still on them. The Dumbbells are all out of orderbas well. Nobody walks thru the weight room enough to monitor to make sure it's being used properly. The hot tub was out for over 3 weeks in December, the swimsuit dryer was out of order for almost a month. Took them about 2 weeks just to fix the steam room. The pool is way to hot to swim 82 - 84 any type of endurance distance swimming becomes too hot without taking breaks. I tried for multiple years and have had enough. People are very nice but the facility has seen better days.

Facility is clean and the staff are friendly. They have fitness classes for no extra charge! I love my instructors, they are full of energy and super charismatic. Plenty of activities to partake in! Only thing I will note is to watch out for the potholes on the street. Really wish the city would pave the road leading up to the YMCA.
